![]() Raspberry Pi support is still work in progress. We recommend using Android devices while we complete development and testing. TargetR Raspberry Pi playersJavaScript PlayerTargetR can already be used on Raspberry Pi by starting a web browser and using the standard TargetR WebPlayer. However, as you may have experienced, the Raspberry Pi struggles rendering large images and can not play video in the browser. Python Hybrid PlayerWe have a player that uses omxplayer and fbi controlled by a python script enabling full 1080p image and video playback. The Hybrid player is an interim solution while we work on QtPlayer. The Python hybrid player can be linked to an account shortcut or a channel shortcut but not an installation shortcut. The player does not display QR Codes, perform synchronisation or report display counts. QtPlayerA lightweight, natively compiled, digital signage player for Raspberry Pi written in C++ and Qt 5 is in development. This player will provide multi-zone 1080p image and video support with channel synchronisation, advanced caching, QR code functionality.Android PlayerThe Raspberry Pi is capable of running the Android platform. Using Android, the standard TargetR Android Player can be used to play TargetR channels. (Android on Raspberry Pi is still in the early stages). |
